One sunny morn, when all was quiet, the sun rose on the town. Suddenly, there was a commotion coming from one of the houses. Shouting could be heard. The door opened. “Get out!” A female voice yelled. Two foxes were kicked out the door, landing on the sidewalk.
The door slammed. “Oww…” Groaned one. “Why does she always do that?” He asked. “I have no idea.” Said the other. “Ryu, you can go that way, I’ll go the other way.” Said the larger one. He walked off, leaving Ryu looking annoyed. “Fine…Jeez, Tatarime…” He complained. He walked down the sidewalk, looking around. Ryu didn’t think about hiding where no one will see. People stared at him from their windows as he bounded around aimlessly. Ryu kept walking, and saw a weird thing ahead. It looked like a road, but it had odd metal rails. He reached out his paw to touch it. Ryu assumed it is safe, and crossed. However, just as he was in the middle, a huge roaring monster came down the tracks. Ryu shrieked and jumped out of the way, just barely managing not to get his tail cut off. “What was that?!” He whimpered. He crossed two more tracks without problem. He soon entered a forest outside town. He looked around, feeling more relaxed. Suddenly, there was an earsplitting whining sound. He looked over to see a huge metal blade cutting through a tree. The tree started to fall, and he braced himself. It fell on Ryu, but he was unhurt, crawling out from under the branches. “I wanna go home!” He cried, running back. He crossed the tracks, went back into town, and hid in an ally. Suddenly, he heard a voice. He looked up, and Tatarime was there. “Well? Come on!” Tatarime barked, running off. Ryu sighed and followed, thinking about how weird the humans are in this place.
