The Mysterious Thing

Two beings, not of this Earth, with odd looks:
Ryu and Tatarime, who one
day came to an odd thing, neither books
nor words could place it, and they felt dumb.


“What is this odd object?” said Ryu
to Tartarime. “Can we use it?”
Tartarime replied, “I once knew,
but now I remember just a bit.”


“What do you recollect?” Ryu asked,
holding it, thinking that it was queer.
“Well, I think you put it in your head,”
Tartarime claimed. “Yeah, in your ear.”


“Wait,” Tartarime cried, “not really,
it’s a toothbrush, I’m being silly.”
